Christine Hamm, a PhD candidate in English Literature, has been a runner up or finalist in many contests, including Word Works, Black Lawrence, and Erbacce. Her poetry has been published by Orbis, WSQ, Lodestar Quarterly, Poetry Midwest, Rattle, Dark Sky, and many others. She has been nominated four times for a Pushcart, and she teaches English at CUNY. Echo Park, her third book of poems, was published by Blazevox last fall. Christine was a runner-up to the Queens Poet Laureate.

The room turns over. He’s snow white, I’m the gloves he takes off to pick up the apple. Opening another book, I take out the babies, one by one, pretending they are mine.
