Magali Duru

Magali Duru is a contemporary poet, translator and writer of award-winning stories. She is the author of two published works, Les beaux dimanches (Éditions Quadrature), a collection of short fiction in which "Navarin" appeared, and Sur la plage d’Ostende (Les Éditions de l’Atelier In8), a crime novel. A native of Antibes, now residing in Toulouse, she writes crime fiction for broadcast on Radio France and is presently at work on a French translation of the poetry of Edgar Allen Poe.

Translator Amanda Sarasien is a writer and literary translator whose short fiction has appeared in Cigale, Emrys Journal, FLAPPERHOUSE and The MacGuffin. Her translations from the Portuguese have been included in Aldus, a Journal of Translation and Asymptote (blog), and will appear in a forthcoming issue of MAYDAY Magazine. She is a regular contributor of book and film reviews at the sites Reading in Translation and The Mookse and the Gripes, and can be found on Twitter @amandasarasien.
